Why are the Beach Toys better than the others ? 

The Beach Toys are the originals with their presentation show authenticating the Beach Boys look right down to the striped shirts. Many Beach Toys "copy cats" have now popped up in an attempt to produce a show like The Beach Toys making use of the striped shirts and The Beach Toys' original presentation.

Do not be confused, only The Beach Toys with their long standing history sit on top. While flattering, these new acts try to imitate The Beach Toys' show falling short as they are not able to reproduce the harmonic vocals with the exact slurs, slides, scoops and Beach Boy mannerisms that have taken The Beach Toys many many years to master.

GLENN HENRY ENTERTAINMENT TRIBUTE BUYER'S GUIDE
It's hard enough these days to plan an event large or small. The entertainment can make or break your club, venue, concert series, fair or event. There are many tribute shows out there with many various claims. How do you know they are true ? How do you know that show will deliver what  they  say they will ?  Some shows are unbelievably great and some are simply not so great. A great show can be fun, and amaze audiences everywhere making you a huge success !
How does one tell a good show from a bad show ?  Well...here are our 5 helpful tips to insure that you are hiring a good show.

1. ASK THE BAND FOR A LIVE VIDEO, MP3 FILE OR DVD DEMO.
With today's technology and studio tricks, an average or below average band/show can go into the studio and come out sounding better than life. This may not always be the case when they are performing live for your event.  LIVE IS HONEST !   Many shows go into the perfect conditions of a studio  and record, enhance, embellish, and retake  their vocals  and then lip sync to the perfect studio recording thus purporting to be showing you a live performance when in fact it is a studio enhanced recording being lip synchronized by the  band. 
 
This is not a live demo video. It is a misrepresentation of the actual live sound or a "fake" of what the show really sounds like live. It is a common trick used many times in the industry to fool you the buyer in to thinking the group is better then they really are.
 With our shows,
what you see is what you will actually be hiring.  All of our video DVD demos are all live.

      2. BE SURE TO ASK THE BAND IF THEY WILL HAVE THE MEMBERS THAT ARE IN THE VIDEO.
Many shows (Particularly Beatles tribute shows) use what we call a "revolving door" band member line up. They contract out with each player for that particular player/part often times never even meeting that player until minutes before the show. Good quality vocals require good quality vocal rehearsal with the same members repeatedly to deliver all of the vocal parts properly in place. Many times these "members for hire" are not well rehearsed resulting in  compromised vocals and a compromise show. This is an embarrassment to all. All of our shows have a lineup with the same  well- rehearsed members thus resulting in outstanding  vocal and instrumental performances for your show.

3. BE VERY CAREFUL OF JUDGING A SHOW'S POPULARITY SOLELY BY THEIR WEB SITE SCHEDULE.
Yes unfortunately, there are shows out there that actually fabricate, embellish and/or inaccurately post  fabricated performances on their web sites that either do not exist or are for another band in their line up. This is designed to deceive the buyer and lead them to believe that the show is very "busy"  thus very popular  when in fact they actually just may be working in coffee houses or the like. This of course is deceptive and far from honest and not fair to you the buyer. Verify the web site shows with the venue by giving a call to that venue be it a performance coming up or one that has passed. Verify the band on the web site is in fact the actual band that will be at that venue on the time and date specified.
Do you want to hire a band that is not honest with you ?


4. ASK TO SEE REFERENCES AND ANY PRESS REVIEWS THAT ARE CLAIMED.

DETAILS MAKE FOR THE BEST BELIEVABLE TRIBUTE PERFORMANCE !
Look for details. It's just got to be done 100% correct. If not, it is simply half baked !
There is no such thing as a tribute band that does a hand full of songs from the group for which they portray filling the remaining sets with other artist material. This is not a true-to-form  tribute band by definition but rather a simple variety band. Your not hiring a variety band.  Ask yourself do they have cheap wigs or  a quality professional  wig that gives the appearance of real hair ?    Do they reasonably resemble the original artists ?   Are the costumes accurate ? (i.e. if a 60's show are they wearing real bell bottoms or just jeans, etc...) Do they wear the actual boots or shoes form the era?  Are they performing the exact accents if it is a British show ?  Ask yourself, does the band just stand up there in costumes or do they actually  BECOME the artist that they are portraying ?  Do they move about in the same manner as the originals ? 
Most important ..Do they sing in tune ? (you'd be surprised)
Demand the best !
Top notch tribute shows have studied for months (even years) and take the sound and look very seriously. This is what a tribute show is all about. This is also what separates the top shows from the cheesy ones. The Beach Toys have taken many years to perfect the exact mannerisms left out of other shows Again, far above and beyond the others in terms of accurate detail  and that's what makes it BETTER ! Other examples of this can be found in such tribute shows as Led Zepagain, Staying Alive, Paperback Writer or Sticky Fingers.

If you are paying for it,  you owe it to yourself to hire the best !
