Other Beach Boys tributes are claiming to have performed at the historic Beach Boys California Historical Landmark Dedication in May of 2005. This simply is not honest as THE BEACH TOYS are the ONLY BEACH BOYS TRIBUTE TO HOLD THE HONOR OF BEING PERSONALLY SELECTED TO HAVE PERFORMED FOR BRIAN WILSON THE BEACH BOYS AND THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. No other Beach Boys tribute show was there and we have the photos to prove it thus other Beach boys tribute shows are already not being honest with you..The client.. (see photo below). Why are the Beach Toys better than the others ?
The Beach Toys are the originals with their presentation show authenticating the Beach Boys look right down to the striped shirts. Many Beach Toys "copy cats" have now popped up in an attempt to produce a show like The Beach Toys using the striped shirts. Do not be confused, there will always be only one original and that is The Beach Toys. While flattering, these new groups try to be The Beach Toys falling short as they are not able to reproduce the vocals in tune with the exact slurs, slides, scoops and Beach Boy mannerisms that have taken The Beach Toys many many years to master.
Other acts are simply "half baked" lacking detail. We invite you to take a look at the others and note, The early Beach Boys did not have facial hair mustaches and goatees, there were not 6 or 7 members there were only 5. The Beach Toys recreate the way it was with 5 members while others require more members for vocals and still fall short..The Beach Boys all use white Fender guitars and so do The Beach Toys.
Each Beach Toy member is singing the exact vocal part in addition to actually looking just like their Beach Boy counter part. Our Al Jardine is singing Al's parts, our Carl sings Carl's parts and so on..Again the best detail !
Members of the The Beach Boys themselves have seen this show and paid complement to the detail with the blond Fender early 60s amplifiers used by Brian, Carl Wilson and Al Jardine, the white Fender guitars, the Blue Satin Flame drum set used by Dennis Wilson, but most of all the actual height and stage stance presentation of the original Beach Boys.
What about their sound ? The harmony work and blend nails "spot on" the Southern Californian vocal surf sound so identified with The Beach Boys' music.
Finally, what makes this show is the fact that The Beach Toys do not just sing Beach Boys....They actually BECOME The Beach Boys from the 1960s.

HENRY ENTERTAINMENT TRIBUTE BUYER'S GUIDE
It's
hard enough these days to plan an event large or small. The entertainment can
make or break your club, venue, concert series, fair or event. There are many
tribute shows out there with many various claims. How do you know they are true
? How do you know that show will deliver what
they say they will ?
Some shows are unbelievably great and some are simply not so great. A
great show can be fun, and amaze audiences everywhere making you a huge success
!
How
does one tell a good show from a bad show ?
Well...here are my 4 helpful tips to insure that you are hiring a
good show.
With today's technology and studio tricks, an average or below average band/show can go into the studio and come out sounding better than life. This may not always be the case when they are performing live for your event. LIVE IS HONEST ! Here is a trick used by our copycat competitors....Record an audio studio demo, double track it and then LIP SYNC to that demo a live video thus fooling you to think it is an all live audio/video performance, when it is actually a studio enhanced studio recording lip sync style. This is not a live demo and cheats you as the buyer.
There is a big difference between live and the perfect conditions of a studio to sound good. This practice is not an accurate or honest representation as groups are purporting to sound good live and in tune when in actuality they probably are not able to sound good for your performance Beware ! If this is the case, you are not hearing the actual band performing LIVE but rather a lip sync thus not what you will get live when hearing the band at your show.
ASK YOURSELF THIS....DO YOU WANT TO FIND OUT AT YOUR EVENT FROM ALL OF YOUR GUESTS HOW HORRIBLE THE BAND SOUNDS ? Beach Boys music live is extremely difficult to reproduce and many claim they sound good using this trick !
2. BE SURE TO ASK THE BAND IF
THEY WILL HAVE THE MEMBERS THAT ARE IN THE VIDEO.
Many
shows (Particularly Beatles tribute shows) use what is called a "revolving
door" band member line up. They contract out with each player for that
particular player/part often times never even meeting that player until minutes
before the show. Good quality vocals require good quality vocal rehearsal
with the same members repeatedly to deliver all of the vocal parts
properly in place. Many times these "members for hire" are not well
rehearsed resulting in compromised
vocals and a compromise show. This is an embarrassment to all. All of our shows
have a lineup with the same well-
rehearsed members thus resulting in outstanding
vocal and instrumental performances for you.
3.
ASK TO SEE REFERENCES AND ANY PRESS REVIEWS THAT ARE CLAIMED.

4. DETAILS MAKE FOR THE BEST BELIEVABLE TRIBUTE PERFORMANCE
Look
for details. It's just got to be done 100% correct. If not, it is simply half
baked !
There
is no such thing as a tribute band that does a hand full of songs from the group
for which they portray filling the remaining sets with other artist material.
This is not a true-to-form tribute
band by definition but rather a simple variety band. Your not hiring a variety
band. Ask yourself..
Do they reasonably resemble the original artists ?
Are the costumes accurate ? Do they have the same amplifiers and
instruments, drum set from the era? Are
they performing the exact accents if it is a British show ?
Ask yourself, does the band just stand up there in costumes or do they
actually BECOME the artist that they
are portraying ? Do they move about
and speak in the same manner as the originals ?
Most
important ..Do they sing in tune ? (you'd be surprised)
Demand the best !
Top
notch tribute shows have studied for months (even years) and take the sound and
look very seriously. This is what a tribute show is all about. This is also what
separates the top shows from the cheesy ones.
