                    "CATCH A WAVE"

(AND YOU'RE SITTIN' ON TOP OF THE WORLD ! )

The idea for this incredible show was to recreate the look and sound of a live Beach Boys concert circa 1964 to 1969.To replicate a unique harmonic California sound that was created by Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine. This was the spark that ignited the flame in 2000 that burns today in every  performance.

Don't be fooled  ! The current line up of The Beach Toys are not the members that worked for Disney, Holland America Cruise Lines, as well as fairs and festivals across the nation in the past 10 years.  The Beach Toys ( 4 of the 5) as you have known them in the past 6 to 8 years comprise Catch A Wave now. The Catch A Wave Show consists of Beach Toys' original co-founder (with Mike Sarafian) member Glenn Henry with original member Chris Hilliard as well as long time 6 year members Richard Gibson and Gene Martin. Add Lead singer (that replaced former member Mike Moynahan) Joel Dalton and that's the icing on the cake that makes up the hit show "CATCH A WAVE"

That's 4 of the 5 members formerly knows as The Beach Toys. Therefore, what remains of The Beach Toys is one member with the name, lacking the long standing amazing singers, players and history that has so entertained thousands all over the world. For the complete story see bio page.

Make a smart choice, be a smart buyer !

Take a good look at the members in the video !  There are many old Beach Toys videos being used with 4 of the 5 members of the Catch A Wave show purporting to be The Beach Toys now "Under new management". Take a good look at the photos of what claims to be The Beach Toys and see the 4 principle members of Catch A Wave.  no longer The Beach Toys. Be a smart buyer, when shopping for shows, be sure to inquire if the members in the promo photos AND VIDEOS are in fact all of the permanent members that will actually be performing for your event.  Do you want to take that chance ?

The above tactics are neither fair nor honest to you, your event or audience. You're really  getting only 1 member at best that is in the video thus making a clear misrepresentation to you of the show that you will receive.  You are the buyer ! You deserve the best. That's why all of the members singing in our video and promo shots on this page represent the actual show that you will get with CATCH A WAVE !  (formerly known as The Beach Toys)

Now that's honest ! That's fair ! You won't get subs slapped together that don't know the parts correctly or players that are not in the video stumbling around intricate 4 and 5 part vocal harmonies. This simply compromises your show. It will look and sound nothing at all like the video of what you think you are getting. When the band shows up with different members and sounds bad..You look bad !

Today there are many choices in Beach Boys tributes, many have popped up simply acting as  "copy cats" of The Catch A Wave original presentation. Unfortunately, they fall short as they do not have the long history of performing together making CATCH A WAVE the tightest of all the acts. This show has mastered  the harmonic vocals with the exact slurs, slides, scoops and Beach Boy mannerisms that have taken many many years to master. Get the tightest and the originals..that is CATCH A WAVE. Keep this in mind when selecting a Beach Boys show.

Don't take our word for it, see for yourself. Take a look at our video:

Honestly, many others are not really "tributes" but really nothing more then Hawaiian shirt bands that neither tackle the very intricate 5 parts harmonic vocals of CATCH A WAVE nor present a theatrical vintage live show presentation. Half baked at best. While even others make use of vocal tracks. What are vocal tracks ? This is nothing more then a recording of vocals as opposed to singing vocals live. Yes..the vocals are actually "fake" fooling you as you are not hearing vocals sung live. CATCH A WAVE USES NO TRACKS...It is an all live instrument and vocal experience and so is our video demo ! The remainder of the other tributes simply make use of "subs" or various players from other bands or a a pool. Sometimes these members are meeting each other for the first time even at your event !

"CATCH A WAVE" consists of always the same members that have in fact toured the world and performed hundreds and hundreds of shows clearly making this show masterful !...Settle not for fake vocals or subs for your show or one person purporting to have the history of our show, get the originals.. CATCH A WAVE. Always the same tight members...Always the same tight show !!

CATCH A WAVE" members were personally selected to perform FOR BRIAN WILSON  AND THE BEACH BOYS' FAMILIES AND FRIENDS  at the California state historical landmark dedication of the home of The Beach Boys in Hawthorne, California. Other Beach Boys tributes are claiming to have performed at the Dedication in May of 2005. Make no mistake, This show was  the only Beach Boys tribute show  to have been selected to perform at this legendary historical event and we have the photos to prove it Below.

Only the members below have traveled the world performing theatrical venues, cruise ships, major casinos, major fairs and special events to include Disney Entertainment on the "Wave riders" stage at Disney's California Adventure Park as seen below .

"CATCH A WAVE" is the one to "Catch"

We are the originals with our presentation show authenticating the Beach Boys look and sound. Only this line up with their long standing history sits on top.

Members of the The Beach Boys as well as the unbelievable Brian Wilson Band have paid personal  complement  to the "CATCH A WAVE" members for their tremendous detail. The unbelievable harmony work and blend nails "spot on" the Southern California vocal surf sound so identified with The Beach Boys' music.
